Russia Ukraine War: Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a concert rally on Red Square on Friday (September 30) after announcing the annexation of four regions of Ukraine to his country. During this, the Russian President said that millions of ordinary citizens whose culture was destroyed have chosen to stay with Russia through a referendum for their historic homeland. Putin formally announced the annexation of Ukraine’s Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson to Russia on the same day.
Putin took part in a rally in support of the merger of four regions of Ukraine with Russia. Putin called it a special, important and historic day. He said that at the time when the Soviet Union was being created and Russia was building Modern Ukraine. It was Russia that created modern Ukraine.

According to a Kremlin press release, Putin said that Russia gave Ukraine a significant part of the historical land along with the people. Putin said that during this time no one was asked where and how they want to live, how they see the future of their children and in which country they want to live. The same thing happened when the Soviet Union broke up. The elite decided everything among themselves and no one asked anything from lakhs of common citizens.
People engaged in voting line despite firing
Putin said that even though shootings were going on in Lugansk, he remained in the queue to defend his choice. Voting was going on in Lugansk and people were queuing in the street to come to the polling station. During this, shells were fired from the cannon and a ball came near him and fell, but no one left the voting line.
