Elon Musk Twitter: Twitter has reportedly fired thousands of contract employees from the company. According to the platformer, an estimated 4400 out of 5500 contract workers have been affected by the job cuts. Other outlets including Axios and CNBC claim that the employees were not even given any notice before being fired.
CNBC reported that the fired employees did not get access to the system, after which they came to know about this. In India too many such employees have been fired without notice. In an internal mail sent to contract workers, Twitter states that the job cuts are part of a “re-prioritization and savings exercise”, Business Insider reported. Sources said that the internal communication team of Twitter has reportedly stopped working.
