Both the teams have clashed on this ground three decades ago.
Both the teams have clashed in the World Cup final on the same ground even 30 years ago. In that ODI World Cup final held in 1992, Pakistan became champion for the first time by defeating England. History is in Pakistan’s favor but in T20 cricket the figures and the momentum are currently going in favor of England. In fact, out of 28 T20 matches between the two teams, England have won 17 matches.
