Blasts in Pakistan: One person lost his life while 13 others were injured in a hand grenade blast in Quetta, Pakistan. A woman is also among the injured. The blast took place near an auto rickshaw on Sabzal Road on the outskirts of Quetta. Pakistani newspaper Dawn quoted police sources as saying that some unidentified bike riders hurled a hand grenade targeting the security post on Sabjal Road but it fell near the auto rickshaw passing through the area.
Police and other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the blast site and admitted the injured to a civil hospital. Civil hospital spokesman Dr Waseem Baig said the bodies and the injured were brought to the hospital and at least three of the injured were in critical condition. According to the report, after the blast, security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation to nab the attackers.

Another such incident took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat on Thursday where an unidentified man hurled a grenade at the police station near the old toll plaza of the Kohat Friendship Tunnel. However, the bullet did not explode. Police said the hand grenade was thrown from a van but it did not explode.
According to the police, after this the speeding vehicle went towards Peshawar. Police said that an operation has been launched in the area to arrest the terrorists and the Anti-Terrorism Department has registered an FIR and started investigation. On Thursday itself, three policemen were killed in a blast caused by a hand grenade hurled at the Bilitang police station in Kohat.
