Russia Ukraine War: French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain said that Russia attacks without provocation. In an interview to PTI, the French ambassador strongly condemned Russia. He said that Russia has illegally occupied 4 Ukrainian regions, which is a serious violation of both international law and the sovereignty of Ukraine. Welcoming Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent statement to end the war, the French Ambassador (Emmanuel Lenain) said, “Leaders of both India and France would like to return to the negotiating table in Moscow. French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain said France, India are working on ways to reduce the impact of the consequences of the war in Ukraine on food and energy security. French Ambassador welcomes India’s stand
On India’s stand on Ukraine crisis, the French envoy said, “It is very important that we stand by each other and protect international rules. We have great respect for India’s decision on this.”

Putin condemned for merger of 4 parts of Ukraine with Russia
The French Ambassador further said that there is outrage in Europe over Putin’s announcement of the inclusion of the four Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya in Russia, which is the cause of the Second World War. It is the largest forced acquisition of a European territory since the Second World War.
Lenin said that France strongly condemns this illegal action. This is a serious violation of both international law and the sovereignty of Ukraine. He said that whatever is right, we will do it for Ukraine.
