Trending: The wedding season is going on in full swing. Here people leave the house a little late than the time given in the invitation card given in the wedding because they know from earlier experiences that the procession will go a little late than its scheduled time, although sometimes on time. Also, all the work of marriage gets done.
Recently, a strange case has come to the fore in which taking the procession without a friend before time has become a nightmare for the groom and the groom’s friend has given a defamation notice of Rs 50 lakh to the groom. The friend has demanded a public apology and 50 lakhs of defamation, alleging mental harassment.
According to the report, the procession of Ravi, a resident of Haridwar, was to leave for Bijnor. Before marriage, Ravi had entrusted his friend Chandrashekhar with the responsibility of distributing cards to some friends and told the time of the procession to rise at 5 o’clock. Chandrashekhar and all his friends reached Haridwar on the wedding day i.e. on 23rd June at the scheduled time for the wedding procession. When Chandrashekhar reached there with his friends, they came to know that the procession had already left. Then Chandrashekhar called the groom Ravi, but instead of admitting his mistake, Ravi asked them all to return to their respective homes. Since Chandrashekhar had told the time of getting up of the card and the procession, that’s why the other friends who came with him went away after telling Chandrashekhar the truth. Chandrashekhar got angry and filed a legal case against his friend Ravi, who became the bridegroom in anger and Ravi was informed about it by phone call.
Chandrashekhar’s lawyer has given a defamation notice of 50 lakhs, calling the whole a conspiracy of Ravi. The lawyer has also demanded a public apology from Ravi within 3 days.
