Announcing his retirement on Instagram, Ishwar Pandey wrote that today that day has come and with a heavy heart I have decided to retire from international and first class cricket. I started this wonderful journey in 2007 and since then I have enjoyed every moment on and off the field. He further wrote that I was included in the Test series against England and New Zealand, it was a matter of pride for me, but it is also sad that I could not get a chance to play more for the country.

Significantly, Ishwar Pandey has been a part of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL. However, he did not get a chance to play in the IPL for the last 3 seasons. At the same time, talking about the career of this fast bowler, he has played 58 List A and 71 T20 matches in addition to 75 first class matches. Apart from 75 First Class matches, Ishwar Pandey took 263, 63 and 68 wickets in 58 List A and 71 T20 matches respectively.
