Abrar Ahmed: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its team for the Test series against England. Veterans like Fawad Alam and Hasan Ali have not found a place in this team, but 24-year-old Abrar Ahmed has been included in the Test team for the first time. Abrar is a spin bowler and at present it is becoming very difficult for the domestic cricketers of Pakistan to understand his mystery. Let us know how has been the journey of Abrar so far.
Abrar made his debut in the 2020-21 season
Abrar, who plays for Sindh, made his first-class debut in the 2020-21 season. Right-arm off-spinner Abrar impressed with his bowling in the first season itself and since then he was on the radar of the Pakistani selectors. Abrar’s performance this season has been commendable and now he has been rewarded for it. Abrar has taken 43 wickets in six matches so far this season and during this five times he has taken five or more wickets in an innings.
Test series will start from 01 December
The three-match Test series is to begin on December 01 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. The second Test is to be played in Multan from 09 December and the last Test in Karachi from 17 December. Pakistan has not given place to more spinners in the announced team for the series. In such a situation, there will be a good chance for Abrar to make his Test debut. This team has a spin all-rounder in the form of Mohammad Nawaz, but Abrar can be given a chance to take advantage of the home conditions.
