Speaking to Cricket Australia’s Unplayable podcast, Maxwell said, the incident happened on wet synthetic grass in the backyard of a friend’s house. A friend of mine who is also my school teacher. We were laughing about something and I pretended to run away. Now we had taken three or four steps and both of them slipped at the same time. My leg got stuck a bit. Unfortunately my friend fell straight on my feet. During this the leg got cracked. I heard and felt every part of it. It was quite painful. I was crying. Please tell me you guys are kidding.
Maxwell may stay out of India’s Test tour
After this incident, Maxwell was admitted to the hospital. It will take a few months for him to recover. In such a situation, he will not be able to take part in the Test series on the tour of India next year. Australia is going to announce the team for India tour after a few days. Maxwell says that there is a time limit for team announcement. I will not be able to be a part of it. I will have to see how fit I am while playing cricket.
