Yuzvendra Chahal Make History: India’s star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has made a big record in the Tea International. In fact, Chahal has become the highest middle overs wicket-taker for India in a calendar year. He has done this feat in the year 2022 only. Chahal has taken 21 wickets in T20 cricket this year. Which is the highest for India in the middle overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal did wonders
India’s star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 21 wickets in the middle overs in T20 Internationals this year. Before Chahal, this record was in the name of Kuldeep Yadav. In the year 2018, he took 18 wickets in the middle overs of T20 International. Chahal is one of the biggest wicket-taking bowlers of the Indian team at present. While bowling in the middle overs of the match, he gives success to the team on the decisive occasion.
Chahal did not get a chance in T20 World Cup
Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal did not get a chance to play a single match in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. Many former cricketers had demanded Chahal’s inclusion in the playing XI of the team. However, he could not be selected in the playing eleven, due to which he could not play a single match in this World Cup. If he was given a chance, he could trouble the batsmen a lot with his spin.
Looking at the way Chahal has performed for India so far, if he was given a chance in the T20 World Cup, he would have taken many more wickets this year. Chahal is currently part of the Indian team in the ongoing series against New Zealand. Chahal has also taken two wickets in this series so far.
