BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that we are continuously working on the women’s IPL. He also said that women’s IPL is expected to start from next year.
Women’s IPL expected to start from 2023
According to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, the Men’s IPL will be played both in India and outside India. Apart from this, all 10 teams of Men’s IPL will be able to play matches on their respective home grounds. However, last year the IPL was played on only 4 grounds in India. In which the grounds of Mumbai and Pune were included, while the knockout matches were organized in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The final match was played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Gujarat Titans won the IPL title for the first time by defeating Rajasthan Royals.
BCCI wrote a letter to the State Board
At the same time, in the letter written by the BCCI to the State Board, it has been said that the Indian men’s team will play home series against Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. At the same time, the Indian women’s team will play the home series against Australia. Apart from this, BCCI is preparing to conduct Irani Cup matches in October and March.
